From 2021 to 2024, I collaborated with different industries in Germany’s Black Forest—ranging from a metal chain producer to a brewery and cosmetics company and explored how the region’s entrepreneurial landscape brings new perspectives for international designers.

A wooden pavilion turned temporary chapel reinterprets traditional wedding elements to create a space that celebrates any type of relationship, not just romantic ones. Upon entering, a cascade of metal chains hangs from the ceiling, a collaboration between designers Diane Hillebrand, Tatjana Stürmer, and Black Forest-based chainmaker BINDER Group.

Beneath them stretches a room-filling, wearable sculpture by fashion designer Philipp Schüller, who worked with left-over suits and textiles from DIGEL, a menswear company from Nagold.
